My Health Pays!
Ambetter is one of the top insurance carriers on the marketplace in the whole nation. They have great prices and strong networks. Their networks have the unique feature that allows you to use your Ambetter insurance outside of your resident state. There are other insurances out there that can do that, but Ambetter is the only one on the Marketplace that allows such a level of flexibility.
What are the Rewards?
Another great feature about Ambetter is their Rewards Program called: “My Health Pays.” As the name implies, they pay you for healthy decisions that you make, some of which are things that you are already doing. Their goal is to reward you for those healthy decisions and maybe even encourage you to go further. For some, it might be the nudge they need to start a more healthy lifestyle that they have been meaning to begin.
My Health Pays will pay up to $500 a year in rewards. Last year they paid out a total of 23 Million dollars to Ambetter members. And yes, this reward program is only for members and you can sign up for it and get more information through your member account. Whether you are a member or are just interested in what Ambetter has to offer, I will be going into this in more detail so if you’re interested keep reading!
How does it work?
There are two steps for earning rewards. Step 1) Complete health activities to earn points. Some examples would be: watch a video, read an article, complete a health challenge like getting a gym membership or going to your doctor for a checkup. Yes, you can get rewards for your annual checkup with your doctor! Some of these “challenges” are super easy or could be something you already do. Step 2) Redeem points to save on bills or shop for merchandise. You can use the points to save on your healthcare costs like premiums or doctor copays. You can even use them to save on monthly bills like rent or utilities. Or you can use the points to purchase things in the rewards store, which, to my surprise, actually had a lot of things that I wanted. They have Electronics, Fitness and Outdoor gear, Kitchen and Dining equipment, Home Care products like vacuums and diffusers, and all sorts of products for your kids! Or you can just simply convert your points to a My Health Pays debit card and use it for anything you like.
If you are already an Ambetter member, go ahead and login to your Ambetter member account and click the rewards tab near the top and start earning rewards. They will even give you rewards for learning about the rewards program which makes it easy and fun! It only took me 5 minutes to earn 250 points which can be converted to $25. I definitely used that to buy myself some amazing Indian food. IT’S HEALTHY I PROMISE!!!!
